Drawing on Scripture, early Mothers and Fathers of the Church, Franciscan Spirituality, as well as contemporary writings on the environment and eco-spirituality, this retreat will invite participants to a focus on water through the Franciscan lens of relationship. Through prayer, input, ritual, quiet, and sharing, we will explore and reflect on themes such as Jesus’ relationship to water, the cosmic and sacred dimensions of water, St. Francis consideration of water as Sister, and the implications our use of water has on Mother Earth’s capacity to continue sustaining and developing life in its many forms.

Facilitator:  Anne Amati, OSF is a Sister of St. Francis of Philadelphia.  Anne has had experience as an educator on various levels as well as a facilitator of community life in several ministries.  Anne served as a retreat director at the Franciscan Spiritual Center in Aston, PA as well as an itinerant retreat director for predominately Franciscan congregations both nationally and internationally.  For 17 years Anne was a staff member of the Franciscan Pilgrimage Programs.  Since completing her term on the leadership team of her congregation, Anne continues to offer retreats and facilitate community chapters.
