Being companioned on your spiritual journey by a trained spiritual director offers the opportunity for on-going spiritual growth. In the context of an hour session (often scheduled monthly) you are invited to share ordinary life experience, listen for the moment of the Holy, and be gently guided in paying attention to how God seems to be speaking through the twists and turns of your journey.
Janice Keenan, OSF is a Sister of St. Francis of the Immaculate Conception. She is Spiritual Director and Program Manager at The Port. She has been a Spiritual Director for over 20 years and is known for her great compassion and deep spirituality. She has served in a variety of ministries including the Newman Center at University of Illinois and the Diocese of Peoria.
Norma Janssen, OSF is a Franciscan Sister of the Sacred Heart. She is the director of the Poverello Holistic Center where she ministers as a spiritual director. Her greatest joy is to accompany individuals on their life journeys and to encourage a fullness of life under the direction of the Spirit. She also serves on the leadership team of her religious congregation.
Mary Barbara Hassler, OSF is a member of the Franciscan Sisters of the Sacred Heart. She received her spiritual direction training from Bellarmine Jesuit Retreat Center in Barrington, IL. She has a degree in Spirituality from Loyola University, Chicago. Her Franciscan Heart enjoys spending time in nature. Journeying with others on their path to God brings her much joy.
